One Day trip to Lonavala


If you want to go somewhere on a lazy weekend morning, and you do not have a plan then Lonavala is the best place to visit. Lonavala Hill station is around 2 hours from Mumbai.

We stopped at Buvanchi Misal to have breakfast which comes a few minutes before Lonavala, after waking our taste buds with Spicy Misal we left for Lonavala.

Lonavala Sightseeing

On the way we came across Lonavala lake, we had been here in February then to the lake was 70-80% Dry. So we did not stop here and kept on going further. All the waterfalls had also dried up. So if you want to enjoy the beauty here, then the rainy season is the best.

Tiger Point

Our first spot was Tiger point and we have a very beautiful view of the valley from here. There is a tiger-shaped mountain here, So it is called tiger point or thumb point. There is a big ground here where you can park your 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler. for which you will have to pay 20 or 50 Rs respectively. There are many snack stalls over here where you can enjoy snacks sitting in the shade.

Narayani Dham Temple

Our next spot is Narayani Devi Temple which is 2 km away from Lonavala. This is a very beautiful mandir of Narayani Devi, where you can find idols of Ganpati as well as Hanumanji. As soon as you come in there is a beautiful flower garden and there is also a stay and food facility for the devotees. After enjoying the peaceful environment of Narayani Dham temple.

We headed to Mummy’s homely food for Lunch. The ambience here is simple and village-style. We Ordered Veg Thali, Mutton Thali, and Chicken Thali. The food here gives a nice homely feel and the Modak here in dessert s icing on the cake.

Mapro Garden

Our last stop is Mapro Garden There is a garden for kids, there is a cafeteria there are also a lot of types of flowers and trees here which is very beautiful to see. There is also a shop for Mapro products here. You can get Mapro products anywhere but you can taste and buy the products here and some flavours which are not easily available you can find here.

There are many Chikki and Fudge shops on the way, So we bought some Chikki and left for Rajmachi Garden.
