8 Day Itinerary to the Andamans, Andaman Diaries

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are one of the seven union territories of India, are a group of islands at the juncture of the Bay of Bengal and the Andaman Sea. There are 572 islands in the territory. Of these, about 38 are permanently inhabited and only 7 are open for tourism. So out of those what all we visited read on to find out.

The main town where you are going to stay once you land in the Andaman, So many places to see here from the cellular jail to the sound and light show. If you are into water sports Corbyn’s cove and North Bay are the must-visit places.And last but not the least if shopping is your thing Aberdeen Bazaar is the place to be.

We visited only saddle peak but there are so many more places to be visited here from the beaches where turtles lay eggs to the Ross and Smith Islands where you can walk from one island to another during the low tides. But more than the sightseeing places the journey from Port Blair to the North Andamans is a different experience altogether.From changing islands using ferries and driving through tribal areas all is a different experience.

The Main island worth visiting and not to be missed when you are on a trip to the Andaman islands.One of the best places to Snorkel, Scuba, Kayak and many other activities in the Andamans is Havelock.There are so many places to do Scuba here for the one who is inexperienced to the one who is an expert. Even after completion of the scuba you can relax and enjoy the sunset at Radhanagar Beach or many of the beaches Havelock has to offer or chill and enjoy some good music and food at many of the cafes and bars present in Havelock.

All in all so many things to do here and you will always be short on time and we missed so much from the middle Andaman’s to the islands of Neil and Long Island.Maybe saved for another trip to the Andaman.
